Canned Tetra and Preparations Technologist

Are you passionate about building food safety standards and systems across multiple countries, and driving food safety culture to the next level?
As an International Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technologist, you will join a lean, fast-paced cross-functional team, responsible for managing our International Safety Quality and Operational Compliance based in Berlin, supporting 17 engaged regions internationally. As part of your responsibilities, you'll collaboratively work to mitigate risks, drive standards and operational excellence, while ensuring the consumer gets safe and high quality ingredients.

What you'll do- You will be a food quality expert, working closely with and supporting HelloFresh teams, for example the international Procurement and our Distribution Centers
- Partner with the international teams to support the implementation of the Food Safety and Quality strategy for the Canned/Tetra product category
- Deliver strategic and innovative projects to ensure supply of safe and good quality products in all HelloFresh International regions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by facilitating the exchange of information and best practices across HelloFresh EU regions
- You will build and develop relationships with HelloFresh Suppliers in the Processed Category (ambient products - canned/tetra) and internal stakeholders
- Managing the specification and artwork approval process for the category and overseeing supplier and product onboarding to ensure compliance with HelloFresh requirements.
- Conduct food safety and quality audits to the HelloFresh standard at supplier production sites across EU
- Regularly analyze customer complaint trends in product quality and packaging to identify opportunities for improvement within the supply chain through to HelloFresh customers.
- Support high level serious customer complaint investigations and recalls.
- Creation of templates and procedures to support standardized implementation of central policies.
- You will be traveling approximately 25% of your time
- This is a 2 year contract
- Master's Degree in Food Science/Technology, Food Safety & Quality Management or equivalent
- First experience (2 years) in Food Manufacturing, preferably with canned or tetra processes
- Internal and External Audit experience desirable (IFS/BRC)
- Knowledge of relevant Food Legislation (UK/ EU)
- In depth knowledge of food safety systems, such as HACCP, thermal processing, microbiology and equivalent
- Intermediate/Advanced Google suite and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Adept at data manipulation and analytics
- Energy, enthusiasm, commitment and a can-do flexible attitude
- Embraces change, challenge and working in an autonomous way
- International experience desirable
- Excellent English skills required
