We are looking for an experienced Real Estate Asset Management professional (m/f/d) to join our team in Frankfurt. As Asset Manager (m/f/d) you will be responsible for interacting with partners and tenants, analyzing the financial performance of a German property portfolio, creating and implementing business plans for existing investments as well as preparing and presenting strategic recommendations for Investment Committees. You will look after asset management activities across different asset classes; build constructive relationships with our partners, support the European team with know-how and works closely with Head of Asset Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with third party service providers and joint venture partners (including property and asset managers, leasing and investment agents, brokers, architecs etc.) driving their performance
  • Manage properties and performance on a day-to-day basis, running budget/actual comparisons
  • Take a leading role in the creation of the annual business planning for the responsible properties and (in case of collaboration with external asset managers and/or in joint ventures) align on the (joint venture) business plans
  • Steer business plan performance ensuring investment performance is in-line with the business plan, prepare regular investment updates to different stakeholder
  • Take the lead in lease negotiations
  • Development and implementation of appropriate leasing strategies and options (including repositioning) taking account of market and life cycle as well as investor-specific investment strategies in agreement with other departments
  • Ongoing contract and process optimisation for the managed assets
  • Focus on investor requirements across all key established KPIs including financial returns, operational excellence, sustainability and smart requirements
  • Become an expert in internal systems, tools and schedules in order to deliver product on time and as per local or investment requirements
  • Commercial support in course of the purchase, sale process and/or other events in an asset life cycle. Work closely with investment team in order to ensure good practices and latest knowledge are included in a "Buy Manage Sell" process; support preparing hold /sell analysis papers, refinancing and other relevant documents for the Investment Committee
  • Gather the appropriate market research and review real estate surveys and benchmarks, economic and demographic trends for relevant sectors

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience with solid academics (educated to degree level), ideally holding qualifications in engineering/science, finance, economics, or business studies
  • Extensive market knowledge across asset classes
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Inventory-managing systems (Argus, SAP, Filenet)
  • Historical experience in development implementation considered an advantage
  • Experience of presentation preparation and research
  • Strong negotiating, communication and presentation skills
  • Spoken and written English skills at negotiation level are a prerequisite
  • Very good financial modelling skills
  • Execution experience with ability to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines
  • Positive attitude and "can-do" mindset
  • Strong ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment with different cultures
  • Above-average commitment and persistence in carrying out projects
