Then strengthen our newly created, dynamic team around the Chief Data Officer, which, with a direct reporting line to the Executive Board, advances data governance issues from a "2nd line" perspective for Helaba and at the same time positions itself as a central competence center for data analytics.

We work in a networked and cross-departmental manner with the decentralized data management roles and provide solution-oriented and advisory support to the specialist departments. Our focus is always on the interaction of regulatory requirements, business processes and Helaba's strategic goals.



Your tasks
  • Together with your colleagues in the central data governance team, you will develop methods, standards, processes and tools in the area of ​​data governance with a focus on data quality management.
  • Your tasks include the definition and further development of methods, standards and IT applications for ensuring data quality (DQ) including DQ controls, data delivery agreements and data issue management.
  • You will carry out the annual reviews of DQ control coverage, data delivery agreements, DQ measures and error correction.
  • In addition, you will be responsible for the conception and regular implementation of DQ reporting as well as maintaining the DQ control inventory.
  • As a central contact, you will train, advise and support the departments in the decentralized implementation, help organize "data communities" and events for knowledge exchange, and thus ensure sustainable anchoring in Helaba.
  • You will also be involved in cross-departmental projects related to data governance and data quality management.
  • Last but not least, you will be involved in the establishment and further development of the central Data Governance & Analytics team and can contribute your experiences and ideas.


your profile
  • After a business and natural sciences degree. or (IT) technical degree or comparable training, you have gained knowledge and experience in data quality management - preferably in the banking environment.
  • You are familiar with regulatory requirements for data governance, ideally in a banking context such as MaRisk and BCBS 239.
  • Taking initiative, proactive approach to those involved and a goal- and solution-oriented approach are a given for you.
  • You have strong analytical thinking skills.
  • You have a talent for communication and can present sophisticated technical content in a way that is appropriate to different target groups.
  • You have good English skills.
  • If you have hands-on experience with DQ tools, this is an added plus.
