Aufgaben
Job Highlights

As Senior Legal Counsel EMEA you will make key contributions to Envalior:

  • Comprehensively counsel our Business Units Intermediates, Performance Materials and Specialty Materials
  • Advise on a wide range of commercial agreements with a focus on drafting, reviewing and negotiating purchasing and sales contracts as well as cooperation agreements
  • Support group functions and management in all commercial legal matters
  • Provide advice on strategic purchasing and sales projects
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization and develop strategies to understand and avoid or reduce potential risk
  • Keep up to date with actual developments in legislation, regulations and jurisprudence
  • Have a challenging role in the Business Units with respect to legal related aspects
  • Drive excellency of the Legal, IP & Compliance team within Envalior through standardization and digitization
  • Provide trainings on legal aspects to Envalior commercial teams and other functions
  • Oversee and steer external legal counsel, where applicable


Profil

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Fully qualified German or Dutch lawyer with excellent academic credentials
  • At least 5-7 years experience in international law firm or legal department of multinational company
  • Strong experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating of purchasing and sales contracts, preferably from manufacturing industry
  • Business-fluent English, German and ideally Dutch
  • Excellent understanding of commercial issues, ideally in the manufacturing/chemical area
  • Ability, interest and willingness to act as business partner to quickly and efficiently find pragmatic and business-oriented solutions and to assume responsibility for the success of the company
  • Ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in an understandable way
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Team player with intercultural experience and good sense of humour
  • Expertise in antitrust law and/or data protection law desirable
  • Experience in implementing legal tech solutions advantageous
