Join Our Team as a Loss Prevention Manager at Amazon
Our company's network, known for its speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, delivers millions of packages and a smile to Amazon customers daily. To ensure the safety and continuity of our network, we are seeking proactive and solution-oriented professionals to join our team as a Loss Prevention Manager. In this key role, you will provide security as a service for our operational sites along the entire supply chain to protect our employees and prevent losses. This position is preferably based in Eggolsheim.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Support business resilience by contributing to emergency and crisis planning for sites in your area of responsibility
- Identify vulnerabilities (e.g., loss, employee experience, process improvement) and define appropriate remedies while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
- Coordinate risk management measures with local management and external parties (e.g., law enforcement and industry associations) in all security-related matters
- Ensure that assigned sites meet Amazon's global security standards
- Lead projects related to security and loss prevention at local, regional, and country levels
A Day in the Life:
As a Loss Prevention Manager, you will be part of a team of security and loss prevention experts providing security as a service to business customers in multiple areas within a specific geographic region. You will conduct regular physical security audits, investigate policy violations, security incidents, and loss events. Your insights will help identify weaknesses in our processes and drive remedial actions.
You will play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of our sites by checking and monitoring the functionality of our systems, collaborating with experts and external vendors to sustain their functionality. Moreover, you will identify and implement initiatives to enhance our physical security infrastructure and directly contribute to the budget planning of our external vendors.
About the Team:
As part of the Global Security Operations organization, Security and Loss Prevention support Amazon's business goals by effectively protecting against relevant threats and managing security and loss prevention risks that could impact employees, customers, business continuity, assets, and brand reputation.
Basic Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent qualification
- Relevant security or risk-related experience (e.g., security services, physical security, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of German in both verbal and written communication
- Intermediate proficiency in English in both verbal and written communication
Preferred Qualifications:
No preferred qualifications are required for applying to Amazon if you meet all the basic qualifications listed above. We welcome candidates who have:
- A relevant higher degree, equivalent higher qualification, or industry certification
- Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or managing contract security officers
- Experience in retail, warehouses, distribution centers, delivery services, or supply chain
- Experience with data analysis
- Driver's license
