About the job:
As a Global Inventory Planner within the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning SIOP) organization, you will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and mitigating supply chain risks on a global scale. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute global inventory strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain efficient inventory management practices to support the company's operational and financial goals.
What You Will Do :
Develop and implement global inventory management strategies aligned with SIOP objectives, considering demand forecasts, production schedules, and service level targets Collaborate closely with material planning and supply planning teams to ensure inventory levels are aligned with meeting customer requirements Analyze inventory turnover rates, inventory costs, and consumption patterns to implement optimization techniques and balance stock availability with cost-efficiency Determine appropriate safety stock levels for different products and regions to safeguard against supply chain disruptions and uncertainties Work with various teams within the SIOP organization, including demand planning, supply planning, and procurement, to ensure seamless integration of inventory planning efforts Utilize data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track inventory metrics, and provide insights for continuous improvement Identify potential inventory-related risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize supply chain disruptions Continuously evaluate and enhance inventory planning processes, leveraging data-driven insights and industry best practicesWhat You Need:
Bachelor/Master's in supply chain related fields and certifications from accredited bodies such as ASCM preferred Applicant shall have 8+ years of experience in the field of supply chain & operations planning Expert knowledge of automotive industry including supply chain dynamics specifically 5+ working within the automotive tier1 manufacturing plants Proven experience in inventory planning, supply chain planning, or related roles in a global manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices. Proficiency in using inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analytics tools Excellent analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimize inventory planning Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners Problem-solving orientation with a proactive approach to addressing inventory-related challengesWhat makes you eligible:
Experience in Inventory Monitoring with the SAP IBP System Be willing to travel up to 5-10%, domestic and/or international travelWhat We Offer:
