Position Overview:
As a Global Inventory Planner within the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) organization, you will be instrumental in optimizing inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and addressing supply chain risks on a global scale. Your key responsibilities will include formulating and executing comprehensive inventory strategies, collaborating with diverse teams, and maintaining effective inventory management practices to support the company's operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and execute global inventory management strategies that align with SIOP goals, taking into account demand forecasts, production timelines, and service level expectations. Work closely with material and supply planning teams to ensure inventory levels meet customer demands effectively. Assess inventory turnover rates, costs, and consumption trends to implement optimization strategies that balance stock availability with cost-effectiveness. Establish appropriate safety stock levels for various products and regions to protect against supply chain disruptions. Collaborate with teams across the SIOP organization, including demand planning, supply planning, and procurement, to ensure cohesive inventory planning efforts. Leverage data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track inventory metrics, and provide insights for ongoing improvement. Identify potential inventory-related risks and devise strategies to mitigate these risks, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing disruptions. Continuously assess and refine inventory planning processes, utilizing data-driven insights and industry best practices.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in supply chain management or related fields, with certifications from recognized organizations such as ASCM preferred. A minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain and operations planning. In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly supply chain dynamics, with at least 5 years of experience in automotive tier 1 manufacturing. Proven track record in inventory planning, supply chain planning, or similar roles within a global manufacturing context. Strong grasp of inventory management principles and supply chain best practices. Proficient in inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analytics tools. Excellent analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions for inventory optimization. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and external partners. A proactive problem-solving mindset to address inventory-related challenges.Additional Requirements:
Experience with Inventory Monitoring using the SAP IBP System. Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 5-10%.What We Provide:
