Job Summary:
In this role, you will run the FRIGOBLOCK-manufacturing facility Essen with 155 employees by providing strategic and tactical leadership for the operations of the manufacturing processes. You will be accountable for safe and timely production and delivery of products at targeted cost, quality and service level.
The role is directly responsible for Manufacturing, Logistics & Supply Chain, EHS and Maintenance teams and cooperates closely with other functions including Engineering, Finance, Quality, Procurement, Sales, HR and others in a highly international environment.
Responsibilities:Leads the overall planning and day-to-day operations Ensures the priorities of safety and operational excellence are embedded into all aspects of plant operationsProactive and responsive to all facets of customer satisfaction including delivery, schedule changes and special instructionsApplies technical and analytical abilities with continuous improvement mindset to resolve and prevent problems and improve existing processes by utilizing Lean Production toolsIdentifies opportunities to modernize and/or automate processes and systemsGenerates and leverages data and reporting to drive company performance from an operational and financial perspectiveDevelops, manages, and executes the annual operating plan and business's financial forecasts and response plansMonitors, evaluates, and controls department expenses in close cooperation with FinanceEnsures compliance with all Federal and Trane Technologies regulations Maintains a positive rapport will all levels of the organization in order to foster and promote a diverse and inclusive working environment, high level of morale, and high employee engagementCollaborates with all levels of the organization in order to ensure alignment of goals and progress towards them along with short term and long term needs and plansMonitors, encourages, and assists in the development and training of direct reports and their teamsCustodian of talent and capability within the plant, ensuring appropriate succession and development plans are in place in cooperation with HRQualifications:
Degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering), MBA desirableProven track record in a plant operations leadership role preferably within a mechanical manufacturing environmentExperience in Materials/Supply Chain managementAPICS CPIM Certification is preferredInnovative, "can-do" mindset, hands-on mentalityEntrepreneurial thinking as well as strong strategic and conceptual skillsProven ability to lead change effortsExperience in an international matrix environmentProven ability to effectively lead, influence and build high performing teamsExperience with process safety regulations, management systems and health, safety, environmental as well as security practices and requirementsExperience within the German regulatory environment as well as dealing with authoritiesEffective interpersonal skills and relationship buildingFluent in German and EnglishWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.
