Sneak preview of your future tasks

As an Engineering Lead for MBUX Voice Assistant (#HeyMercedes) in the Speech Cloud team you will:

  • Lead, develop and empower a group of software engineers in the Speech Cloud team for the MBUX Voice Assistant.
  • Manage a team of up to around 20 engineers as a line manager.
  • Support common administrative processes such as capacity planning, budget / cost planning and control, skill and competence development, hiring / recruiting and similar.
  • Drive further transformation of the team towards a (scaled) agile structure.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities in order to maximize team productivity, delivery quality as well as delivery reliability.
  • Drive innovation ideas and proofofconcept studies.
  • Shape the vision of your team in close alignment with the overall Speech Domain vision.
  • Guide and coach the team in order to ensure sound technical decisionmaking.
  • Guide and coach the team in architectural evaluations.
  • Remove impediments and blockers from the team whenever they showup.
  • Empower software engineers by providing best tools for their work.
  • Provide meaningful career development paths for your team members.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with project stakeholders and multiple feature development teams.
Your Profile

Education:

  • Successfully completed university studies with a focus on computer sciences, information technology, engineering, electrical engineering or a comparable field.

Work e

xperience

s:

  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a technical and / or people leadership role.
  • 5 to 7 years of development experiences in software development, ideally using agile methodologies.
  • Product and systemoriented mindset with a high focus on providing endtoend solution.
  • International / intercultural work experience desirable.
  • Preferably, software development experiences within the Automotive industry.
  • Preferably, experiences with voice assistant or similar functionality.

Personal skills:

  • You think in a structured and innovative way, leading team is your passion and you have excellent communication skills.
  • You have proven technical and / or people leadership skills.
  • You work completely autonomous and have a selfreliant way of working.
  • You are proficient in problem solving and have the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and tasks in a fast paced environment.
  • You have a high level of flexibility, personal initiative and commitment.

Language skills:

  • Proficient in English, German is a plus
