Administrative Director (m/f/d)
  • The Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie (HZB) is looking for an Administrative Director to manage its operations.

HZB is dedicated to research on sustainable energy materials, technologies, and solutions for a climate-neutral society. As the Administrative Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the business and administrative aspects of HZB, including human resources, finance, procurement, and legal affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Scientific Director to lead HZB efficiently.
  • Manage various important tasks such as occupational health and safety, radiation protection, and export liability.
  • Drive digitalization efforts and oversee the decommissioning of the BER II research reactor.
  • Ensure strong cooperation with funding agencies, partners, and stakeholders.

Your Profile:

  • Hold a university degree or equivalent with expertise in business and legal matters.
  • Proven experience in strategic management, project leadership, and financial management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Prior leadership experience in research institutions or related fields.
  • Strong command of German and English languages.
  • Passionate about diversity, equality, and innovative research.
