Position: Global Depot Manager

Location: Hamburg, Germany

Position type: Full-Time

The Global Depot Manager/Sr Manager is responsible for safe and efficient operations and to:

  • Plan, direct and coordinate activities related to inspection, imaging, repair, maintenance, and storage of clients' equipment (laptops, desktops, servers, IT devices, Instacart shopping carts, etc.)
  • Develop and lead a highly effective team which is responsible to provide excellent service to external clients and meet their SLAs without fail The Global Depot Manager/Sr Manager is a critical role which can be an extremely challenging and rewarding position.

Job Description:

  • Set all depots and depot operations Provide overall management of global depots to ensure effective and compliant operations that meet the clients' SLAs
  • Promote a safe and productive workplace;
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements (in each of the 26 locations) as well as clients' corporate policies and procedures;
  • Maintain and promote a depot certification programme for all AVASO employees working in AVASO depots;
  • Monitor operational activities to ensure KPIs are within stated standards;
  • Meet clients' needs and commitments;
  • Oversee stock and inventories to ensure each client working inventory is on hand and accounted for.
  • Develop and maintain budget, identify, and communicate operational/financial adjustments;
  • Partners with AVASO internal teams to establish goals and objectives for the operation; production, profitability, safety, and compliance which align with goals for the locality and business unit;
  • Monitor and evaluate performance and provide feedback to employees in an effective manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent;
  • Native German speaker;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Relevant industry experience with a minimum 10 years (Logistic/Supply chain/ warehouse/depot) or 15 years (for Senior Depot Manager) of successful depot management experience;
  • Thorough understanding of the operation and maintenance of IT equipment, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, and servers;
  • Basic financial acumen, handling and accounting of expenses, and revenue;
  • Thorough knowledge of inventory requirements and operations;
  • Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills;
  • Excellent communication skills are mandatory;
  • Proficient in Outlook and MS Office suite of products;
  • Strong Work Ethics;
  • Open availability to work with different time zones, in particular US East Coast;
  • Ability to travel on short notice when required (must have a passport).
