Research Assistant (all genders)
Target Discovery & Validation
Full-time and permanent
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cellular assays for target validation (primary cell culture, cell lines, transfection, virus mediated gene transfer)
- Use and establish plate
- Plan, perform, and analyze cellular, molecular biology and biochemical laboratory experiments (e.g. Protein, DNA and RNA isolation and analysis, immunocytochemistry and imaging)
- Manage project demands ensuring quality and timely delivery of data
- Record experiments independently in electronic lab notebook
Qualifications:
- Work experience with cellular assays, preferably in a Pharma, Biotech, or a CRO setting
- Substantial handson experience of cell culture assays (cultivation & transfection of cell lines or primary cells, immunocytochemistry etc.)
- Experience with standard molecular and biochemical techniques (basic DNA, RNA and protein assays)
- Experience with handling and isolation of primary cells and possession of a FELASA B certificate would be a plus
- Well organized, dynamic personality with high levels of drive, enthusiasm, and commitment.
- Excellent team spirit and capability of working with a wide degree of autonomy and independence
- Ability to work in a crossfunctional team
- Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written; German is advantageous
