ABB Traction leads innovation in rail, e-mobility, and energy storage systems, making electrical transportation more sustainable. We are seeking an Application Engineer Traction focusing on the German market for our expanding local business.
Your responsibilities- Provide technical support to Sales and Product Management Departments
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues for vehicle OEMs
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Production
- Act as technical key account for customers
- Conduct trainings and identify product improvements
- Specify components and support engineering tools
- Develop application software for inverters and energy storage systems
- Assist in design of customer interfaces and electrical schematics
- Commissioning support for traction package
- Experience in a similar role
- Technical education in electrical engineering, automation, power electronics, or electronics
- Knowledge of electric drives and motors for rail or e-mobility
- Experience with simulation & programming tools like MATLAB Simulink
- Familiarity with electrical traction and energy storage systems
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work in an international environment
- Fluency in German and English
