Your mission:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Product Leader, ideally with a development background, to join our business.

Our mission is to provide the best deals and inspiration to help travellers of all budgets discover the world and its cultures.

To help us achieve our mission, you will be responsible for creating and executing our cross-platform product strategy, covering all aspects from ideation to launch, and supporting the marketing of the product.

As we strive to make a significant technological impact on the travel industry, this role will have a critical impact on our overall strategy.

You will also work with our development team to ensure the overall fit for the purpose of our tech stack.


Key responsibilities in this role:

  • Create, implement and execute our product strategy with our leadership team, reporting directly to the COO
  • Ongoing user research, user feedback management and market research to ensure productmarket fit
  • Develop leading edge UX
  • Define and track success metrics
  • Write great user stories that our engineering team can easily deliver
  • Liaise with other departments such as key account management, editorial and our deal team to ensure internal alignment
  • Recruit and manage the resources needed to scale our product department
  • Liaise with our external development team
  • Ensure timely product delivery without cost overruns

Your profile:

Ideally, you are a former developer.

During your time in the industry, you have begun to transition into product management while still understanding the day-to-day challenges of being a developer.

You are currently on the cusp of transitioning to full management responsibility, while still enjoying working in the trenches and creating great user stories.

The Atlassian suite is your home and you are used to having effective conversations with all kinds of stakeholders.

You don't shy away from responsibility because you value the opportunity to be the true mastermind behind a highly successful product that owes much of its success to your smart work.


Key skills we think help you succeed in this role:

  • 5-7 years of mixed product and development experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience of user research methodologies
  • Experience in strategic product definition and roadmap development
  • Previous experience of agile methodologies like SCRUM and lean software development
  • Experience of leading and managing a team
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Passion for travel and tourism is a plus
