Global Account Director – Automotive Solutions – Hybrid – Munich (Germany)

ASE Global is hiring a Global Account Director to join the team and play a mission-critical role in supporting and servicing some of the world's most prestigious and extraordinary OEM Automotive clients via market-leading industry-recognized software solutions technology.

The Global Account Director is responsible for nurturing and developing highly successful client relationships to ensure that ASE Global delivers for every customer, helping them to drive performance and accelerate profitability. Working with OEMs, dealer networks and individual dealerships to drive volume, profitability, and business improvement. Working to identify customer problems and devise programs that deliver a tangible impact.

As a global account director, you will be responsible for all sales and customer-related activities with OEM(s) globally. The goal is to create and realize the sales plan compliant with the chosen sales methodology, develop and run a profitable business portfolio.

The successful candidate will work in a hybrid work model with the Munich region

What your day will look like:

  • Gather credible data on customers, competitors, market size and economic trends relating to the customer globally
  • Identify potential new business opportunities and win new contracts
  • Initiate activities to improve program profitability
  • Manage the customer account(s), build a good network at all levels up to the Top Management and improve existing relationships
  • Search for and find new project opportunities as well as develop business within the customer account(s) using both current and potential future product portfolio (innovation)
  • Work as a coordinating interface between ASE internal departments and the key customer(s) and support the implementation of specific tasks or projects
  • Interact with other Regional Sales Directors and other Customer Directors to co-ordinate or support on specific tasks or projects
  • Inform the Leadership Team regularly about latest developments and opportunities with your customer

About You:

  • At least a professional level of German and English, both written and verbal, is essential
  • At least a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or a similar related discipline is essential
  • At least 10+ years of experience in a Sales, Key Account or Customer Director role with strong Business Development acumen in the automotive industry
  • At least 5+ years' experience working in the Automotive industry sector is essential
  • Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
  • Delivering Results and meeting customer expectations
  • Formulating strategies and concepts
  • Relating and networking
  • Legally authorized to work in Germany
