Here is a rare and great opportunity to join an international leader in surgical technology and be part of this company's new Clinical & Medical Affairs processes. As the Senior Medical Affairs Officer, you will be reporting directly to their global headquarters in Germany and work in an English Speaking environment.

This is a company-critical role and your past experiences in Medical Device medical affairs will be key to help this manager to implement new internal processes that will ultimately improve patient safety and user-satisfaction.

This exciting position will give you the opportunity to work in an international, English speaking environment and work closely with German, USA and European teams - including: Product Management, Regulatory Affairs, Risk Management teams.

You will be responsible for the Clinical Affairs, Medical Safety and Risk Mitigation (post-market documentations and processes) for these surgical instruments used globally. Furthermore, you will be responsible for influencing internal teams across the world to help them understand the importance of good GCP, introduce new processes, and assist the HQ with better clinical surveillance.

In this role you will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer.

Your responsibilities:

As the Senior Medical Affairs Officer you will:

  • Lead the Medical Safety and Clinical Affairs strategy primarily post-market
  • Review and sign-off CERs, safety reports periodically - PMCF, PSUR, SSCR
  • Leading clinical data collection for submission and PMCF
  • Assess & Improve Patient Safety Risks by escalating cases and creating new processes and new measures
  • Show leadership through translating scientific and medical requirements into commercial-language for effective cross-functional relationships
  • Influence internal and external stakeholders to make them prioritize medical safety affairs
  • Support the Complaints team on certain incidents
  • Constantly review and identify products harms and hazards

Your qualifications:

For this Senior Medical Affairs Officer, you will bring:

  • At least 5 years in a Clinical Affairs role with a Medical Devices Manufacturer
  • Experience within either the medical device or Pharma industry is required
  • Fluent written & spoken in English
  • Eligible to live and work in Germany
