Your Tasks
You are part of a team situated in Hilden (next to Düsseldorf) within the Process Engineering Department of the Global Technical Operations division
You contribute to the process development and continuous improvement activity of complex manufacturing processes, including commissioning and life cycle management of automated manufacturing lines
You support optimization and automation projects with your technical know-how and support internal decisions by designing and conducting experiments and subsequent data analysis
You identify and evaluate new manufacturing process technologies and build a strong network of external experts and provide technical specifications during sourcing of manufacturing equipment
You contribute to the QIAGEN manufacturing digitalization strategy
Your Profile
You hold a Science or Engineering degree with prior professional experience in manufacturing environments (3+ years), or a PhD in a relevant field are required for this position
You have prior experience in automated liquid handling machinery and processes as well as GMP/IVD experience; DOE, Six-Sigma and Lean methodology knowledge is a plus
You have experience in handling and analyzing data sets; scripting capability and prior experience in Computer Vision Equipment and AI based analysis is a plus; interest in learning and applying these techniques is required
You have a track report of successful project and network management skills, as well as strong organizational capabilities and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
You are excellent in communicating in English across departments and hierarchies and are willing to travel internationally (10%)
