H9 is looking for a Project Manager/Developer with experience in Wind, Solar or BESS projects across Germany. This is a remote role with occasional travel to site.


Our client is at the forefront of renewable energy development, driving innovation in solar, battery storage, and other green technologies. We are expanding our project portfolio in Germany and are looking for a dynamic Project Manager/Developer to join the team.


Job Description:

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in growing our renewable energy project portfolio across Germany. Your responsibilities will include:


Project Development: Spearhead the development of utility-scale solar and battery projects, from greenfield origination to sell down.Land Acquisition: Assist in land acquisition efforts by converting sourced leads into reservation options and/or land lease agreements.Site Selection: Collaborate with the GIS Manager to perform site selection, constraints mapping, and landowner identification.Team Management: Oversee and manage teams of contractors, including land agents, technical engineers, and permitting specialists.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners, including landowners, local authorities, and project partners.Project Management: Deliver robust front-end project management to prepare opportunities for divestment, ensuring all technical, commercial, and environmental requirements are met.Project Refinement: Refine projects up to the point of investment decision, with a focus on engineering, commercial, and financial aspects.Reporting: Provide regular updates on project and portfolio progress.Representation: Represent the company at industry conferences, lobbying events, and other relevant forums in Germany.


Qualifications:

Proven experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar and battery projects.Strong knowledge of land acquisition processes and site selection for utility-scale projects.Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including local authorities and landowners.Strong analytical skills with a focus on technical, commercial, and financial project aspects.Native German speaking is essential
