ClimatePartner supports companies in climate action: With our solution combining software and consulting, we support our clients in making a contribution to climate action and anchoring it in their strategy. Companies calculate carbon footprints for them or their products, set reduction targets, implement reductions, finance climate projects and are supported by ClimatePartner through to the communication of their climate action commitment. These five steps can be transparently tracked with the label ClimatePartner certified and the corresponding climate-ID page. Where these requirements cannot yet be met, we provide the opportunity to contribute to financing climate projects. This commitment can be demonstrated via the Financial climate contribution label as well as ClimatePartner’s established ID tracking. 


As we want to take climate action to a new level, we develop high-quality, certified climate projects with our ClimatePartner Impact business division. In addition to the positive effects on the climate, these and the other projects from the ClimatePartner portfolio provide additional benefits for the local communities, guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

As


Head of the Carbon Project Development Team (gn),


you will be responsible for the Carbon Project Development Team, its strategy, and all project related tasks regarding origination, financing, development, and operation of a portfolio of forestry, agriculture and renewable energy projects. You will also be a main contact window towards customers, constantly screening their needs and providing suitable solutions to them.


You will be reporting directly to the Managing Directors, and you will closely collaborate with our other teams like Legal, Finance and Market Intelligence. Aufgaben
Tasks & Responsibilities

Team lead for climate project development incl. guiding of up to 10 cross-sectoral team membersCoordination of project planning, timelines, financing and reporting of a comprehensive carbon project portfolioStrategic portfolio planning in regard of volume and cost expectationsManagement of origination activities of new project development opportunitiesInterface between the project development and other supporting teams as well as towards customersPreparation and presentation of project opportunities in an investment committeeProactive networking with relevant organizations, project owners and developers, technology providers, industry associations, multilateral organizations, government agencies, and othersParticipation in relevant events and conferences in order to expand the existing project partner network Anforderungen
Who you areAt least 7+ years of work experience in the field of climate change, preferably with experience in project management and development of CDM, VCS and Gold Standard projects and methodologiesAt least 5+ years of work experience as a team or department headEntrepreneurial spiritStrong network of project developers, consultants, standards, and investors in the field of climate projectsExperience in coordinating multiple complex projects and portfolio planningEnthusiasm for approaching new project partners, generating new business opportunities, closing deals, and expanding professional networks  Strong leadership skills, ability to lead and guide an interdisciplinary and multicultural teamExcellent customer orientation and experience in key account managementExcellent communication skills in English, German is a plusBenefits
