Job Title: SAP Technical Solutions Consultant, Google Cloud
Location: Waldorf, Germany
Experience level: Mid level
Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.
Minimum qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
Candidates will typically have 5 years of experience in technical troubleshooting cloud infrastructures and coding/scripting in Python or Java.
Typically have 5 years of experience in stakeholder management, SAP solution engineering, technical consulting, and technical leadership.
Experience with cloud-based SAP deployments, SAP products (e.g., SAP HANA, NetWeaver, SAP HA/DR), and SAP technologies and solution architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with SAP BTP, HANA Cloud, ABAP Cloud.
Experience with Cloud Foundry and Gardener.
Experience with public clouds and cloud infrastructure including building, testing, and deploying cloud based services.
Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
Knowledge of modern software development methodologies with emphasis on multi-tenancy and high-availability.
Knowledge of databases and performance optimization.

Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) software is used by many companies around world, and the ability to run SAP applications is a key factor in enterprise companies selecting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) as the primary cloud for their technology.
SAPs products and partnership has pushed Google Cloud forward technologically in many aspects. Given the mission critical nature of SAP workloads, customers expect enterprise grade reliability, performance, scale and availability across zonal and regional failure domains, that are hard technical problems. Our mission is to develop technologies (e.g., larger/faster machines, tools, agents, adapters etc.) to make Google Cloud the best environment for running SAP applications.
In this role, you will participle in low level software validation and certification of SAP products on Google Infrastructure, creating best practices for SAP products on GCP, documentation of solutions and reference architectures, integrating and testing new features delivered to make SAP performant. You will work closely with the business development team, software engineers and product managers to make Google the platform of choice for enterprise customers.
Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the development, testing, certification and support of SAP solutions on Google IaaS.
Provide technical consultancy and advice on best practices, topologies, solutions, and other deployment patterns in collaboration with other key members of the Cloud Engineering teams and other cross-functional groups.
Validate the consistency of new technologies and its interoperability with SAP software by scoping validation proposals and performance tests, KPIs, and desired outcomes, and publishing whitepapers and technology assessments.
Design and implement solutions, including write scripts, executing tests and performing analysis on results, and work closely with engineering and product management teams across the globe to identify feature gaps, deficiencies, and bugs.
Analyze product bugs and feature requests raised by customers and work with internal teams to implement effective solutions, and identify opportunities for innovation that benefit GCP customers and partners.
