We are looking for a University Graduate (m/f/d) to join our Natural Resources Underwriting team based in Munich.

Your Team:

Our Underwriting teams work with companies worldwide to create insurance solutions designed for specific industries and business challenges, supporting customers as diverse as the world's largest consumer brands, tech companies and the global aviation and shipping industry, but also floating wind parks, private pilots or Hollywood film actors.

The Natural Resources team insure all major investments in wind and solar construction projects and the operation of power plants around the world. Their particular expertise is in conventional power and renewable energies.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the underwriting process, both on a national and an international level.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Support underwriting of new and renewal accounts, performing pre-underwriting activities such as sanction checks and collating claims data
• Chase brokers for additional / outstanding underwriting information
• Model risks using our pricing tools
• Attend meetings with brokers and clients alongside the underwriting team
• Handle document management and update systems for the team
• Liaise with other functions including Operations, Credit Control and Claims
• Develop and maintain peer relationships with brokers, clients and other Underwriting teams
• Participate in technical training sessions

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Completion of a bachelor's university degree by October 2024 preferably in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability and Flexibility- Able to adapt and work effectively in different situations and remain calm under pressure.
• Communication- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork- Have a pro-active and positive attitude to teamwork, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities.
• Learning Mindset/ Ambition- A curious and creative mindset, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm to own and drive your personal development.
• Analytical Thinking- Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study, or examine data in detail, draw appropriate conclusions, and present solutions to others.
• Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent English and German language skills.

Further Information:

• Duration: This is a permanent opportunity. After extensive training during the first 12 months of our Graduate Programme, you will continue to work within the team and benefit from the lifelong learning opportunities that Allianz Commercial offers.
• Working Hours: 38 hours per week.
• Start Date: September 2024.
