We are looking for an Accounting Graduate to join our Allianz Commercial Graduate Program, based in Munich.

Your Team:

Our accounting department is responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely production of Allianz Commercial's financial information, which produces valuable financial insights for the company and helps to protect its assets.

You will be part of a diverse and experienced team in Munich, reporting directly to the Global Head of Insurance Closing and Reporting. The department oversees the insurance related positions in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements. Furthermore, we prepare the financial statements according to IFRS, Solvency 2 and HGB and proactively contribute to projects and process improvement initiatives.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Validate global underwriting results and balance sheets
• Complete assigned closing and reporting tasks
• Undertake analysis on the financial performance of Allianz Commercial
• Substantiate Allianz Commercial's global balance sheet and P&L
• Support with projects and process improvement initiatives at a global level

In this position, you will work closely together with other accounting experts and managers across the globe, giving you a deep insight into how our company works. This is a great early career role for someone who is looking to build their accounting, financial and data analytics expertise and create a long-term career with a global company.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Completion of a bachelor's university degree by October 2024
• Adaptability and Flexibility- Able to adapt and work effectively in different situations and remain calm under pressure
• Communication- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Teamwork- Have a pro-active and positive attitude to teamwork, able to assist others and also take on your responsibilities
• Learning Mindset/ Ambition- A curious and creative mindset, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm to own and drive your personal development
• Analytical Thinking- Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study, or examine data in detail, draw appropriate conclusions, and present solutions to others
• Good computer skills, including MS/Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Fluent English language skills. German language skills are desirable

Further Information:

• Duration: This is a permanent opportunity. After extensive training during the first 12 months of our Graduate Programme, you will continue to work within the team and benefit from the lifelong learning opportunities that Allianz Commercial offers.
• Working Hours: 38 hours per week.
• Start Date: September 2024.
