Unsere Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler untersuchen die Strukturen und Funktionen von Membranproteinen mit verschiedenen physikalischen, biochemischen und rechnerischen Methoden. Als renommiertes und international führendes Forschungsinstitut bietet das Max-Planck-Institut für Biophysik damit ein dynamisches und sehr abwechslungsreiches Arbeitsumfeld.

Die Abteilung Membrane Dynamics zielt darauf ab, die zugrunde liegenden physikalischen Prinzipien und molekularen Mechanismen zu verstehen, die die Membranorganisation und -dynamik bestimmen. Wir konzentrieren unsere Forschung auf die mitochondrialen Veränderungen während der Apoptose sowie auf die Membranpermeabilisierung als gemeinsames Merkmal bei der Durchführung des regulierten Zelltods. Zu diesem Zweck haben wir eine multidisziplinäre Abteilung eingerichtet, die neue Mikroskopie-Instrumente entwickelt und Biophysik, Biochemie, Zellbiologie und Mausmodelle miteinander verbindet.

Für diese Schnittstelle suchen wir zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine*n Animal Ethics and Genetic Safety Officer (m/w/d) in Voll- oder Teilzeit.

Die Stelle ist zunächst auf drei Jahre befristet und wird nach dem Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst (TVöD-Bund) entsprechend den persönlichen Voraussetzungen vergütet.

Ihre Aufgaben
  • Sie zeichnen sich als Tierversuchsleiter*in nach deutschem Tierschutzgesetz für die Abteilung Membrane Dynamics verantwortlich
  • Sie sind für die Kommunikation zu allen beteiligten Behörden zuständig, dies betrifft insbesondere: Zuchtrahmenantrag, Anzeigen neuer Linien, Abschlussbeurteilungen, Berichterstattung der Tierzahlen, Kommunikation mit der/dem zuständigen Tierschutzbeauftragten
  • Sie agieren als Beauftragte*r für Biologische Sicherheit für das gesamte Institut, und stellen in dieser Funktion die Einhaltung des Gentechnikgesetzes (GenTG), der Gentechnischen Sicherheitsverordnung (GenTSV) und der Biostoffverordnung (BioStoffV) sicher und unterstützen die Institutsmitglieder bei sämtlicher Kommunikation mit dem zuständigen Regierungspräsidium und Dokumentation der gentechnischen Arbeiten. Darüber hinaus zeichnen Sie sich für die Sicherheitsunterweisungen für das Arbeiten in den gentechnischen Anlagen in Deutsch und Englisch verantwortlich.
Ihr Profil
  • Sie haben ein Hochschulstudium der Veterinärmedizin, Medizin, Pharmazie, Biologie, oder vergleichbare Qualifikation erfolgreich abgeschlossen und bringen fundierte Kenntnisse tierschutzrechtlicher Vorschriften zur Durchführung von Tierversuchen mit
  • Sie verfügen über die Sachkunde und Erfahrung in der Leitung von Tierversuchen und der Erstellung von Tierversuchsanträgen
  • Sie waren mindestens drei Jahre lang auf dem Gebiet der Gentechnik, insbesondere der Mikrobiologie, der Zellbiologie, der Virologie oder der Molekularbiologie tätig
  • Sie können die Sachkunde zur/zum Beauftragten für die Biologische Sicherheit nachweisen bzw. haben die Absicht die Sachkunde zu Beginn Ihrer Tätigkeit am Institut zu erwerben
  • Sie haben Spaß an Projektmanagement und handeln proaktiv, eigenverantwortlich, sowie service- und lösungsorientiert
  • Sie verfügen über sehr gute Kommunikationskompetenzen in Deutsch und Englisch und arbeiten gerne im Team
