Amer Sports is seeking an experienced (Senior) PMO Consultant to oversee the IT project portfolio for our brands and group functions. This role is crucial in defining and driving best practices, rolling out the PMO methodology and tool-set across the organization, and supporting senior management in decision-making. The ideal candidate will foster the delivery of IT programs through enforced practices and standards, ensuring holistic and consistent management reporting.

Tasks
  • Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the IT project portfolio for assigned brands and group functions, ensuring accountability and best practices.
  • PMO Methodology: Roll out PMO methodology and tool-set throughout the organization for effective project portfolio reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Constantly refine and maintain the Amer IT PMO approach, implementing central best-practice processes and toolkits (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Testing tools).
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and alert on the performance of project teams, ensuring all IT project items and deliverables are supported by the business case and project quality gates.
  • Support Major Projects: Actively work with large projects and programs as a dedicated PMO consultant.
  • Tool Maintenance: Provide 2nd level support for the PMO toolkit and deliver own projects where necessary.
  • Consulting: Grow into the role of an in-house consultant for overall project management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT project management or PMO-related work.
  • Strong knowledge of software development practices and IT architecture.
  • Powerful presentation skills, both visual and verbal
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong strategic, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Technical systems and software development knowledge
  • Professional commitment and passion for developing the PMO
  • IT project and portfolio management skills
  • Agile DevOps experience
  • Business process knowledge across various functions such as SCM, Marketing, Sales, Finance
  • Consulting mindset to ensure proper project delivery and portfolio reporting
