Responsibilities:

  • Understand and ensure compliance with relevant banking laws like the German Banking Act, MaRisk, and Anti-Money Laundering legislation.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and developments.
  • Evaluate Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and liaise with authorities like the NCA.
  • Investigate alerts from transaction monitoring systems for AML/KYC compliance.
  • Support MD back office and outsourced AML unit.
  • Resolve KYC referrals and offer guidance to business units.
  • Assist in Compliance Monitoring Reviews and report findings.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement and regulators, responding to inquiries as needed.
  • Help develop and implement policies to mitigate financial crime risks.
  • Contribute to financial crime training initiatives.
  • Undertake assigned projects and tasks as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with compliance laws, regulations, and updates
  • Proficient in Anti-Money Laundering regulations
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Capable of meeting deadlines effectively
  • Demonstrates high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Handles internal and external queries promptly
  • Works well both independently and collaboratively
  • Skilled in computer usage, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
