The Business Transformation Manager will be responsible for driving forward the delivery of the transformation strategy of the global client reporting function. From reviewing and improving existing processes through to defining how the impact of various projects and initiatives transform the client reporting operating model. You will work directly with the Head of Client Reporting to help define the strategy, the focus areas, and the prioritization of what needs to be performed. You will bring your previous experience as a transformation SME to operationalize the strategy and deliver its implementation. You will engage across key internal and external stakeholders. You will work in Frankfurt.

What you will do

The objectives of the Transformation Manager are broad and hands on with a focus on delivery. You will holistically support the whole department on its ambition to transform for the future and maintain stability for the present.

The core responsibilities can be split in to the following areas:

1) To enable the team to meet their objectives and be quick to market, you will generate tactical ideas to solve challenges, implement and run those tactical solutions with the desire and foresight to push for the longer term strategic goals as dependent projects and initiatives are delivered

2) Review and document existing BAU processes, develop and implement solutions to improve these to achieve cost savings, time savings and efficiencies whilst creating scale and automation

3) Provide important insights into the effectiveness of processes by developing insightful and meaningful KPIs.

4) Drive and/or support various change projects and initiatives affecting the global Client Reporting team with the primary focus of being delivery focused to support our transformation agenda

You will build effective working relationships across departments and management levels across the company and actively encourage the identification of opportunities for continuous change.

In all cases you will support of the department across Europe and Asia Pacific.

As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to holistically assess challenges and obstacles and are able to design and implement practical solutions to solve problems with and without the use of technology.

What you bring

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Project Management or a related field with a focus on investments

Working Experience:

  • 10+ relevant years of experience, preferably in asset management companies / service providers in the financial services industry

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical analysis to a non-technical audience
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a consultative approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to manage, influence and engage senior stakeholders within the organization
  • A team-player with the ability to operate effectively and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical mindset with solid problem-solving skills, and ability to analyze data, identify core issues, investigate, evaluate and reach appropriate conclusions/solutions with strategic thought
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and document key business processes and data flows. Sound understanding of where and how they can be improved
  • Strong knowledge of the Asset Management business with the full picture from front to back office
  • An understanding of portfolio analytics and investment related data such as risk analytics, attribution, key figures & characteristic would be an advantage
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working in a complex and dynamic environment who can operate without excessive direction & supervision
  • Significant experience of practical implementation of efficiency gaining solutions
  • Be an "idea generator” with the ability to demonstrate a sound solution orientated mindset
  • Project Management experience - Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in VBA, SQL and Data Management tools would be an advantage

Languages:

  • Fluency in English; German and/or French would be a plus
