To strengthen our team, we are looking for at the earliest possible date for our Corporate Center at our location in Cologne:Tax Governance Manager (m/f/d) Job Description
  • Continuous development of the Tax Compliance Management System for MSIGEU and their six European branches.
  • Conceptualization of internal workflows with tax relevance, in particular for insurance tax and VAT and for the specification of tax requirements for the operational systems in cooperation with IT, Operations and the European operational branches.
  • Evaluating tax issues and preparing tax recommendations for all tax types at MSIGEU in coordinated coordination with our international tax advisor.
  • Supporting the timely processing and filing of tax returns, tax filings and payments.
  • Carrying out specialized tax audits in the MSIGEU business units.
  • Participation in the training of employees on tax issues.
  • Support in the calculation of deferred taxes according to IFRS, Solvency II and HGB as well as in the execution of tax simulation calculations.
  • Support in the coordination of external tax audits.
  • Participation in projects.
Qualification
  • University degree with a specialization in taxation or comparable professional tax education.
  • Many years of professional experience in a tax consultancy or in the tax department of a financial services company, ideally with an insurance company or auditing firm.
  • Experience in the area of insurance tax is an advantage.
  • Experience in the design of business processes.
  • Very good German and good English skills.
  • Strong analytical and structured thinking skills to solve complex problems.
  • High motivation, dedicated and independent working style.
  • Strong sense of initiative and goal orientation.
  • High willingness to work in a team and willingness to travel to the European operating branches.
