We are a Berlin-based startup that has successfully established a leading B2B marketplace for industrial metals across Europe.

The multi-billion-euro metal trading industry is operated on Excel, PDF and Email. We are on a mission to transform buying and selling in one of the oldest industries of the modern world with seamless and intuitive digital solutions. Our technologies increase liquidity, accelerate transactions, reduce scrapping rates and enhance buying convenience for hundreds of steel and metal distributors across Europe.

As a lean team of young, international, and passionate talents, we've recently reached breakeven and are gearing up for the next phase of growth. We are looking for an outstanding individual who wants to join an exciting early stage start-up as a Junior Data Analyst (Intern) to work closely with our senior management and a highly motivated team.

Tasks

As Junior Data Analyst (Intern), you will join the team full-time for a 6 months internship and support the Data Team in providing data insights to the broader organizations. Specifically you will:

  • Leverage your technical skills to process and analyze data using Excel, SQL, and/or Python
  • Analyze and interpret data on available & sold inventory, transactions and customer data and make recommendations for action
  • Create, monitor and update dashboards and reports for sales and operations team using BI tools
  • Gather, summarize and accurately track KPIs on portfolio performance, communicate key findings and recommendations to relevant internal stakeholders
Requirements
  • First experience in data analytics and statistical modeling within a data-driven organization
  • Strong skills in Google Sheet (Excel), SQL,and/or Python
  • Ability to process and analyze data effectively to drive insights and action
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards are maintained across all tasks
  • Recent graduate (ideally available for a full-time role after the internship)
  • Studies in Data Analytics, Data Science or any other quantitative discipline
  • First experience with Looker, Tableau or other dashboarding tools
  • Entrepreneurial drive, genuine curiosity and hands-on mentality
  • A self-starter with a track record of achievements
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English
