Property Manager, DACH Lead

Your role
The Sub-Regional Property Manager – DACH Lead oversees and implements the required property management processes, tools & organization across the individual countries in DACH sub-region. The role governs the execution of the financial processes, i.e. budgeting, forecasting, reporting as they relate to property operations. The role works with peers in other sub-regions and global / EMEA stakeholders in Finance and PMG to shape the strategy for operational management of wholly or partially owned properties. The role works with country operational teams in Service Planning & Property Operations to drive implementation and consistent execution of agreed standards. It serves as a liaison on country/sub-region specific requirements to property management coming from legal or administrative local sources.
The impact of the position will be measured through ensuring a standardized, compliant and efficient operations of property management related activities.
What you’ll need
- A bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Real Estate, or the comparable experience.
- Significant role related experience + strong understanding of financial terms and principals and the ability to analyse and conduct complex financial and business decisions.
- Experience with acquisitions and implementing / creating new systems and procedures.
- Understanding of real estate laws and regulations for ensuring compliance in property management activities.
- Proficiency with property management software and technology tools.
- Independent subject matter expert, skilled to develop/contribute and execute on Property Management strategy.
- Experience working in a matrix organisation.
- Good communication skills: Listens attentively, speaks clearly and concisely, creates accurate and punctual reports, gives clear instructions, and shares information and ideas with others; good report writing and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving; breaks down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues, can simplify and process complex issues, understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts.
- Managing performance; Applies clear/consistent performance standards, handles performance problems decisively and objectively, is direct but tactful, provides guidance and assistance to improve performance.
- People Management: Confident to work in a leadership position, influencing teams across the business and not in direct reporting line. Motivates and challenges employees, delegates effectively, rewards contribution, and manages collaboratively.
