Could you be the full time Project Manager Bogies (f/m/d) in Salzgitter we’re looking for?

Your Future Role
2,000 colleagues shape in Salzgitter the future of green mobility. They design and manufacture hydrogen and electric-powered vehicles, locomotives, and trams, produce bogies, and repair all kinds of freight wagons. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Jörg Prikker and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We’ll look for you to:

• Contribute to successful project execution on allocated sub-system scope of work according to PM2020 organisation (apply project strategy according to contractual commitments and targets; measurement and active control of project performance; follow alert procedures in case of deviations; perform actively risks & opportunities management with proper tools and processes; implement regular cost control within the Workpackage; take over full responsibility of project governance "end-to-end" (from requirement analyses to end of warranty phase)
• Drive and coordinate all Bogies activities and synchronise with other sub-systems and train projects in order to supply contractual deliverables on time
• Lead multidisciplinary project core teams (Sourcing, Engineering, Finance, Indus, Quality, Transfer etc.) without hierarchical leadership function, sometimes in cross-site and international teams within global Alstom network
• Communicate transparently about project status, trend and progress to all stakeholders, management, central functions and customer by proper planning follow-up deviation analyses (cost, deliveries, milestone control (Gate Reviews)
• Secure achievement of project objectives on QCDP by KPI setup and analyses; define and execute corrective actions if necessary (i.e. re-baselining in case of variation orders or other external impacts) 
• Contribute actively to resolution activities to optimise overall target achievement (reduce cost and lead times, increase customer satisfaction) and drive the change for better project execution

• Master degree in Project Management or equivalent (i.e. Engineering)
• Strong Project Management skills
• Knowledge of sub-system Bogies and company background
• Strong leadership skills with solution orientated mindset and team spirit
• High communication and negotiation skills 
• Focused on target achievements (QCD commitments)
• Ability to work across sites/functions in a multi-cultural environment
• Fluent German and English language (in writing and verbally)
• Willingness to travel and to participate to permanent education
