Real Estate Portfolio Lead, DACH Region

Your role
Are you ready to lead and innovate in the property management sector across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland? As the Real Estate Portfolio Lead for the DACH region, you'll be at the forefront of our property management strategy, driving excellence and efficiency across all operations.
- Strategic Leadership: Oversee and implement essential property management processes, tools, and organizational structures across the DACH sub-region.
- Financial Stewardship: Govern key financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring robust property operations.
- Collaborative Strategy Development: Partner with peers in other sub-regions and with global/EMEA stakeholders in Finance and the Property Management Group (PMG) to shape and refine strategies for managing wholly or partially owned properties.
- Operational Excellence: Work closely with country operational teams in Service Planning & Property Operations to ensure the consistent execution of agreed standards.
- Compliance and Liaison: Serve as the liaison for country and sub-region-specific requirements, integrating legal and administrative mandates into property management practices.
Your role will be crucial in ensuring that all property management activities are standardized, compliant, and efficient. Success in this position will be measured by your ability to maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of property operations across the DACH region.
What you’ll need
- A bachelor’s degree preferably in Business, Real Estate, or the comparable experience.
- Significant role related experience + strong understanding of financial terms and principals and the ability to analyse and conduct complex financial and business decisions.
- Experience with acquisitions and implementing / creating new systems and procedures.
- Understanding of real estate laws and regulations for ensuring compliance in property management activities.
- Proficiency with property management software and technology tools.
- Independent subject matter expert, skilled to develop/contribute and execute on Property Management strategy.
- Experience working in a matrix organisation.
- Good communication skills: Listens attentively, speaks clearly and concisely, creates accurate and punctual reports, gives clear instructions, and shares information and ideas with others; good report writing and presentation skills.
- Problem-solving; breaks down problems into smaller components, understands underlying issues, can simplify and process complex issues, understands the difference between critical details and unimportant facts.
- Managing performance; Applies clear/consistent performance standards, handles performance problems decisively and objectively, is direct but tactful, provides guidance and assistance to improve performance.
- People Management: Confident to work in a leadership position, influencing teams across the business and not in direct reporting line. Motivates and challenges employees, delegates effectively, rewards contribution, and manages collaboratively.
