your main tasks:

TE Connectivity's Account Management Teams are responsible for selling TE's products, systems or services, providing detailed technical product information and maintaining relationships with customers in assigned geographic territory, industry or accounts.

 

  • Act regionally as the RAM for a specific customer, accountable for regional profitable sales growth, development of new business opportunities and maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for leading a small team
  • Review of customer contracts and coordination with legal and other involved departments
  • Responsible and accountable for delivering the regional annual growth plans in regard to the specific customer as well as further defining the account specific regional tactic under consideration of customer’s global strategy and TE’s strategies.
  • Assess and qualify new business opportunities and manage and provide new product streams.
  • Responsible for developing, implementing and executing plans for advancing the company’s products to meet the customer’s specific demands.
  • Communicate regional results (monthly billing review, monthly rolling F/cast and market project highlights)
  • Identify application areas where TE does not have a dominating position and define account coverage and product requirements.
  • Lead and guide regional customer focus team; especially manage the team of direct reports via goal setting and identify needs for training, coaching, and facilitation.
  • Responsible for preparation of financial justifications and presentation, quotations and negotiations of specific projects as well as pricing of existing business with special focus of profitability and contracting with customers.
  • In Toto, the Regional Account Manager must be perceived as the regional customer’s champion within the TE organisation and has to ensure that TE is perceived as the primary supplier of choice by the customer.

your profile:

  • Commercial and technical background, ideally a joint degree of engineering and business administration (industrial/ commercial engineer)
  • Min. 5 years experience in various Business Administration and Sales assignments
  • At least 2 years of Managerial Experience
  • Basic knowledge of TE Project and SAP
  • Knowledge of LeanPD
  • Fluent in English and German both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
  • Knowledge of trends / competition / technology that will influence products and sales
  • Ability to form successful working relationships quickly at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to motivate his/her sales team
  • Strong problem solving, strategic and tactical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organisation
  • Position requires flexibility with regard to travelling.
