For our Corporate Controlling Offshore team, we are looking for a dedicated Senior Financial Analyst d/f/m to take responsibility for management reporting and long-term financial planning.

 

About the role

  • Independent and high-quality management reporting on financial business development to the RWE Offshore Board 
  • Central coordination of cross-departmental reporting processes for the global offshore business and modeling of business cases in long-term planning
  • Analyzing and commenting on planning, forecasts and actual financial statements in close coordination with the operational offshore controlling and accounting teams 
  • Contact person for RWE Group Controlling and Investor Relations in the context of planning and forecasting processes as well as to support external quarterly reporting and capital market communication
  • Preparation of offshore performance dialogues and planning workshops
  • Conception, development and optimization of planning and reporting processes as well as controlling products 
  • Further development and maintenance of a planning tool for the preparation of offshore long-term planning
  • Carrying out valuations for impairment tests (e.g. goodwill) including answering questions from auditors

 

Job requirements and experience

  • Actively completed university studies or equivalent degree in economics, finance, business administration or business informatics
  • At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in comparable commercial positions with knowledge of controlling and financial management concepts
  • Extensive knowledge of business modeling, information management systems and data management; valuation knowledge is beneficial
  • Very good knowledge of financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and extensive user knowledge of SAP BW/BI
  • Expert numerical skills to interpret data and information and present it in a clear format
  • Very good communication skills and a high ability to present complex issues to senior management in a customer-oriented manner
  • Enjoy intercultural teamwork, high reliability and integrity as well as a high degree of self-organization, personal commitment and flexibility
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive approach to challenges
  • Fluency in German and English
