The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Head of Underwriting Risk, you will be driving the topic of Reinsurance Credit Risk. This includes maintaining and developing the framework for reinsurance credit risk management within Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), assessing reinsurance credit risk for captive fronting business and close collaboration with the Security Vetting Team of Allianz Group.
Being part of the Risk Management team offers great possibilities to contribute to the strategy of the company, balancing risks and performance and participating in projects that shape our company.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
  • Maintain and develop reinsurance credit risk framework at AGCS, ensure efficient processes and steering of exposures within AGCS' risk appetite.
  • Align closely with the Security Vetting team of Allianz Group and ensure that AGCS is compliant with Group requirements.
  • Actively interact with the business and reinsurance teams on credit risk topics including derivation of mitigation actions whenever needed.
  • Provide regular reporting on captive fronting portfolio, ensure adequate data quality, anticipate trends.
  • Provide guidance and support to other colleagues working in reinsurance credit risk topics.
  • Prepare standard and ad-hoc management reports to the according business functions and to the top management.


What You'll Bring to the Role
  • Degree in Actuarial, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance or equivalent
  • About 5 years of professional experience in P&C Insurance or Reinsurance
  • About 3 to 5 years of experience in Risk Management
  • Solid understanding of reinsurance market and captive business
  • Excellent skills in handling qualitative and quantitative risk assessment
  • Extended knowledge of different credit risk mitigation techniques (e.g. different types of collateralization, security clauses)
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding analytic and problem solving skills
  • Solid project steering skills
  • Excellent inter-cultural skills with the ability to work in an international environment.
  • Fluent English skills (in spoken and written)
