DLT Finance is a BaFin-regulated securities trading institution and custodian for digital assets, which enables institutional investors, financial institutions and fintech companies to trade and hold digital assets, as well as integrating the technical infrastructure as a white label solution.We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of security and regulatory compliance and are searching for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to champion our information security strategy.
Job DescriptionThe opportunity:
You will ensure top-notch security and compliance within the evolving landscape of digital finance. Lead DLTF towards stable information security standards and make a big impact across the whole company and every process. Join our growing, diverse and international team of experts in either the Berlin or Frankfurt office in a hybrid role.
- Craft and execute an information security strategy compliant with e.g. BSI IT-Grundschutz, MaRisk, BAIT, and DORA, safeguarding digital assets to the highest standards and complying to all regulatory requirements.
- Guide the organization in understanding and implementing standards like ISO27001, ensuring a robust information security management system (ISMS) that aligns with our business goals.
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments, develop risk management strategies that meet regulatory requirements, and bolster our security infrastructure.
- Collaborate across departments to embed information security policies and practices into all aspects of business operations, adhering to regulatory frameworks.
- Act as the main liaison for information security matters with regulatory bodies such as BaFin, overseeing audits and addressing findings efficiently.
- This is a chance to really design and build, not only improve, and with direct involvement in all of the key processes and developments.
About you:
- Leadership experience in information security within the financial services sector, with a comprehensive understanding of the digital asset regulatory environment.
- Experience in designing information security strategies, and working with the IT team to implement them. Ideally you are also aware of the requirements of the regulator (BaFin)
- Strong background in aligning information security strategies with standards like ISO27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, MaRisk, BAIT, and DORA.
- Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
- Excellent ability to convey complex security principles to diverse stakeholders.
- You have solid influencing skills to drive your strategies through the whole company and ensure the team understands the importance of them.
- You should be hands on and have experience in a fast paced environment, preferably in a startup.
- Based in either Berlin or Frankfurt.
- Fluency in both German and English is needed.
