The Sales Representative for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for growing the microbiology business in the assigned territory.

 

This position is part of Beckman Coulter Microbiology located in Sacramento (California) and will be fully remote, based in the sales region. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

 

You will be a part of the MicroScan Team and report to the Sales Manager Microbiology Germany responsible for Sales and Application Teams. If you thrive in an amazing role and want to work to build a world-class sales organization—read on.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and "qualify" Microbiology prospects and assessing customer needs, interests and qualifications in the Identification / antimicrobial susceptibility testing (ID/AST) and Lab Automation fields in the Region: Köln, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Essen, Frankfurt am Main .

  • Develop and maintain an accurate weekly forecast of sales projects substantiated by accurate documentation and planned follow-up actions.

  • Continually develop knowledge of products, market and industry trends, competition and customer strategies for potential development.

  • Drive the agreed sales strategy and implement strategic closing action plan to meet area and country sales objectives.

  • Be the primary contact for customers within the area and handle customers´ issues expeditiously and professionally.

  • Work in conjunction with marketing to resolve customer conflicts by developing and implementing strategies and solutions designed to improve customer satisfaction.

  • Ideal Location: Köln, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Essen, Frankfurt am Main

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor´s degree or equivalent qualification in Science, ideally in Biology or a degree as a Medizinisch Technische Assistent*In (MTA).

  • Ideally several years of professional experience in a similar sales position with focus on Sales/ Acquisition / Business Development with capital equipment in the Medical Devices sector.

  • Ideally experience in direct selling in a similar field of Microbiology , processing expert knowledge in Microbiology/Bacterial Identification /Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing and a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Ideally an understanding of the German healthcare system and IVD testing in a hospital environment as well as in the private sector.

  • An understanding of business management systems, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM tools. 

  • A full clean driving license

  • Language skills: German and English on a professional level
