Our Airline Operation Control Centre (OCC) is the nerve center of our customer airline operations, ensuring the seamless coordination and management of all customer flights schedules worldwide. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as the Director of Airline Operations.

Position Overview: As the Director of Airline Operations at ASISTIM, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic planning, and operational management of our Operation Control Centre. You will oversee the daily operations of our customers, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of airline operations, and would require previous experience in managing complex operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Operation Control Centre team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the OCC, including flight planning, scheduling, dispatch, and real-time flight monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication across the organization.
  • Manage crisis situations and irregular operations, ensuring effective response and resolution.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions together with our customer airlines.
  • Lead and mentor a team of operational professionals as well as our new entries, providing guidance, scheduling training, and development opportunities.
  • Develop and manage the OCC budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost control.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices, integrating relevant innovations into our operations.

Qualifications:

  • Must be EU Citizen or hold a valid EU-Working Permit
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in airline operations, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role within an Operation Control Centre.
  • In-depth knowledge of airline operations, including flight planning, dispatch, scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse and international team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using airline operations software and systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems (SMS) and risk management principles.
