Electrification of cars is a major contribution to hamper global warming. We develop and manufacture the essential high voltage power electronic products for inverter systems to “drive” cars as well as “operate” all other high-voltage systems (such as OBC/DCDC, Heater etc.). In your new role, you will:

  • Lead Team of technical experts across multiple sites
  • Contribute to product roadmaps and take decisions with significant business impact
  • Be responsible for product definition, business win and design-in of newly developed automotive high voltage chip and discrete power products, e.g. based on our CoolSiC TM technology
  • Observe and act proactively on application, product and market trends to determine key product requirements future competitive product offerings
  • Drive, coach and challenge new technology and product ideas of your team , actively balancing risks and opportunities and driving decisions
  • Proactively develop and instrumentally influence key and strategic business wins in direct engagement with decision makers of Tier1 and also OEM customers
  • Enable your team to substantially contribute to the intellectual property strategy in their fields of expertise providing exploitations options, with strong focus to provide a differentiation for Infineon on its products-to-system strategy
  • Empower your team to make technical decisions and take responsibility for their implementation
You remain aware of the big picture even in complex situations and take decisions despite uncertain circumstances. Therefore, you inspire others for your ideas and explain even complex issues in a clear and convincing way. You are aware of the strengths and motivational drivers of your team as well as their needs for development and empower them according to their competencies within the team. The strategy you translate into ambitious goals for your people and make sure that it becomes a binding guideline for people´s actions.

You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:


  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a similar field
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in the area of power semiconductors and automotive applications like traction inverter systems
  • Proven experience in leading, developing and motivating a team within a global organization
  • Know-how within your fields of customers & applications expertise and in relevant industry across regions
  • Already gained a network within relevant communities e.g. cooperation partners, universities, institutes or customers
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers, as well as internally with colleagues, management peers and upper management levels
  • Fluent English language skills – German would be beneficial
