Nearly three decades ago, Amazon set out to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where people can discover and purchase the widest possible selection of safe and authentic goods. If sellers remain dissatisfied with a decision Amazon took after reaching out to our support teams, they can seek resolution for most disputes through an independent mediation process, facilitated by the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution. Our dedicated EU Mediation team ensures that we hear and address selling partner pain points.The EU Mediation team is looking for a Risk Manager to manage critical and high impact disputes.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about helping us ensure that customers may make great purchase decisions and that brand owners and sellers using Amazon are successfully listing and selling their products. Your decisions are not only fundamental to helping protect customers and sellers, but will help maintain the health of the Amazon catalogue and product listings ecosystem.
Is a fluent or native English speaker with excellent oral and writing skills
· Is comfortable analyzing and using data to make decisions
· Collaborates, supports, and influences partner teams in responding to, investigating, managing and resolving high-impact incidents.
· Writes Legal (in English) responses to present Amazon's view on disputes to an external and independent mediator.
· Owns and manages projects designed to improve operational and process efficiency, and helps to scale the EU Mediation program further. This includes accessing and analyzing data and working extensively with teams across the organization.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent
- Experience handling confidential information
Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- Experience in program requirements definition, together with data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements
