Allianz Global Investors is currently seeking a talented and highly motivated Business Analyst with a deep understanding of SAP BW to join our growing team. In this role, you will help ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of our financial data. You will report directly to the Head of Finance Technology and work closely with stakeholders across the finance department to identify and implement data-driven solutions that support our strategic goals.We are a diverse, collaborative, and supportive team of technologists, project managers and data analysts, and are responsible for a suite of in-house, cloud-hosted, and outsourced applications covering accounting, financial management, financial planning, reporting, BI (Business Intelligence), procurement, and much more.
What you will do Oversee the entire data lifecycle in SAP BW:Extract, transform, and load data from various source systemsDesign and implement data quality checks and cleansing processesMonitor data flows for accuracy and completenessDevelop and maintain data models and the data warehouse:Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specificationsDesign and develop data models that meet user needs and regulatory requirementsFurther optimization of the data warehouse using SAP BW best practicesSupport and improve business processes and reports:Identify opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve data-driven decision-makingDevelop and implement reports and dashboards to provide users with actionable insightsSupport the finance team with ad-hoc data analysis and troubleshootingStay ahead of the curve:S/4Actively participate in continuous improvement initiativesResearch and evaluate new technologies and trends in data warehousing and analyticsImmediate focus areas and priorities may include:Streamlining and optimizing the dataflows between finance systemsAligning data definitions according to data governanceSetup of a data quality control systemSetup of a data quality monitor What you will bring5+ years of experience as a SAP BW Business Analyst or similar roleIn-depth knowledge of SAP BW and its functionalitiesStrong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologiesExperience with data quality management and data governance practicesProven ability to design and develop data models and ETL processesProficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software (e.g., Power BI)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to adapt and respond to challenging / fast-paced situations and to deal with high complexityStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency in English.
