Development Engineer – Pre-Development Fuel Cell Module

Responsibilities:

As part of the Predevelopment & Prototyping team in the Fuel Cell System Development department, you will play a pioneering role in the future development of Freudenberg's fuel cell module

You can expect a wide range of tasks from the conceptualization of next-generation flow fields, the development of novel stack concepts to the implementation of state-of-the-art in-situ measurement technology

You will drive new concepts from the "white sheet of paper" to the functional prototype

You should think freely in order to recognize and exploit the potential of your development project. To do this, you will need a broad cross-technology understanding, which you will expand with the specialist knowledge of our product.

You will manage your projects independently: You will outline the steps to the goal, which we will then coordinate together, and set out which decisions affect the project and how. You will also communicate with internal and external interfaces

You can validate the results of your development "hands-on" on the functional prototype

In the pre-development team, you will always have the opportunity to discuss your ideas or find solutions to challenges

In addition to your pre-development tasks, you will be involved in stack prototyping, where you will build new stack generations and hand them over to production

Qualifications:

You have successfully completed Degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering or a comparable field of study

You enjoy driving forward new challenges in pre-development with out-of-the-box solutions and taking into account the complex interrelationships of the fuel cell system

You have independent management skills, strong technological overview and great interest in a wide range of technical issues

You have already gained professional experience in the field of (pre-)development

Experience in the field of fuel cell stack / NT-PEM as well as CAD experience- preferably in SOLIDWORKS desirable

You should be a Team Player and have a ‘Hands-on mentality’

Good knowledge of German and English
