You will be part of the team that oversees the system engineering of Rivada’s constellation. Your mission is to strengthen our team as a System Engineer in the planning and design of Rivada’s constellation Air Interface. You will ensure that the system is optimized for future operability and takes account of the constraints of operating a global communication system. You will support air interface team in the domain of air interface development.
This includes:
- Support air interface team in RF communication system and interface design
- Support preparing the air interface flow diagrams for various air interface operational scenarios
- Refining/formulating requirements for the system and various subsystems related to air interface design to ensure consistency and completeness of scope of the requirements
- Perform link budget analysis to assess communication link performance and optimize system parameters
- Support in verification of air interface design including preparation of test scenarios and documentation
- Support in validation of end-to-end satellite communication system
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in telecommunication, microwave, or electrical engineering
- At least 3 years of experience working in satellite communication system development
- Understanding of RF component characteristics and have experience using lab equipment including spectrum analyser, network analyser, signal generator, oscilloscope, and/or packet analyzer
- Experience in RF link budget analysis
- Experience in system level RF performance analysis
- Understanding of electromagnetic propagation and antenna systems
- Experience in DVB-S2X or similar satellite communication protocols and satellite access technologies is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and spoken English

Rivada Space Networks is deploying the first true “OuterNET™”: a global low latency point-to-point connectivity network of LEO satellites. Rivada is working with Terran Orbital to manufacture and SpaceX to launch our satellites. The deployment starts in 2025 with full-service launch in 2026.
