SCAYLE Payment is a company driven by the passion to develop the best tech products. Currently, we are searching for an experienced & passionate Senior PHP Softwarecrafter (m/f/d) for our Payment Team.

The Payment team is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle, from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points, the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players, spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance API hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines.

What you will do

Develop and maintain robust PHP applications within the payment lifecycleImplement and advocate for extreme programming practices such as Slicing, Test-Driven Development (TDD), Pair Programming, Mob Programming, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous IntegrationWork closely with legacy code, improving and refactoring to enhance scalability and maintainability. Ensure all code meets high standards of quality and adheres to best practices, contributing to a sustainable development pace

Who you are

Minimum of 6 years experience with PHP. We use PHP 8.3Practical experience developing REST APIsExperience working with PostgreSQL, Redis, or equivalent data storage.Experience working with messaging systems like SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.Strong experience with gitSelf-motivated and responsible workingEntrepreneurial thinking and actingPassionate and eager to learnExperience/understanding of maintaining cloud applications and site reliability engineeringSoftware architecture experience/understanding: event-driven architecture, hexagonal architecture, microservice architecture
