Über die Position

Als Controls Engineer (m/w/d) begleitest Du Projekte von der Konzepterstellung bis zur Inbetriebnahme. Ziel der Stelle ist technisches Projektmanagement für unsere Key Customers im Bereich Software- und Steuerungstechnik. Die Position ist im Engineering-Team angesiedelt. 

Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten

Programmierung und Projektierung von SPS-Steuerungen (Siemens SIMATIC S7) 

Erstellung der Visualisierung mit WinCC/ WinCC flexible/TIA Portal 

Durchführung von Funktionstest und Fehlersuche 

Technische Klärungen mit Kunden und Fremdlieferanten 

Technische Beratung und Unterstützung von Vertrieb, der globalen Niederlassungen und Kunden sowie projektbezogene Kundenbesuche 

Erstellen der Projekt- und Prozessdokumentation für das Gesamtprojekt 

Kenntnisse und Qualifikationen

Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Elektrotechnik, Automatisierungstechnik, Mechatronik oder eine ähnliche Qualifikation (bspw. staatl. geprüfter Techniker) 

Erste Berufserfahrung in der SPS Programmierung (Siemens S7) 

Kenntnisse in der Erstellung von Stromlaufplänen 

Kenntnisse mit Feldbusssystemen (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet etc.) und Sensortechnik bevorzugt 

Kenntnisse mit Python (von Vorteil) 

Gute Englischkenntnisse und Deutschkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift 

Kommunikationsstärke und Teamfähigkeit 

Selbstständige, strukturierte und kundenorientierte Arbeitsweise 

Der Arbeitsort befindet sich in Erkrath, Home Office ist möglich. Die Reisetätigkeit umfasst bis zu 10%.

About the position

As a Controls Engineer (m/f/d) , you will be responsible for projects from concept development to commissioning. The goal of the position is technical project management for our key customers in software and control technology. The position is part of the engineering team. 

Roles and Responsibilities

Programming and project planning of PLC controls (Siemens SIMATIC S7) 

Creation of visualization with WinCC/ WinCC flexible/TIA Portal 

Conducting function tests and troubleshooting 

Technical clarifications with customers and external suppliers 

Technical advice and support of sales, global subsidiaries, and customers as well as project-related customer visits 

Preparation of project and process documentation for the overall project 

Skills and Qualifications

University degree in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or a similar qualification (e.g., certified technician) 

First professional experience in PLC programming (Siemens S7) 

Knowledge in the creation of circuit diagrams 

Knowledge of Fieldbus systems (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, etc.) and sensor technology preferred 

Knowledge of Python (advantageous) 

Good written and spoken knowledge of English 

Persuasive communication skills and ability to work in a team 

Independent, structured, and customer-oriented way of working 

The workspace is Geleen, Netherlands, or Manchester, UK. A Home Office is possible. The travel activities are less than 10%.
