About your future role

As a successful Senior Business Development Manager Payment Schemes for Nexi Group you will oversee defining and executing Merchant Service (MS) scheme governance, relations, and scheme commercial agreements. You will provide the framework for MS’ go to market scheme strategy aligned with product and propositions and driving increasing levels of scheme cash and value in kind incentives into Nexi. Business case building for scheme incentive agreements including data analysis is one key element of this position.

You will set up and maintain internal MS awareness and understanding of scheme governance, relations, and commercial agreements, working closely across Nexi business units. To accelerate the business, you will identify incentive risks/issues and develop and execute associated mitigation plans to ensure incentives targets and met as a minimum together with the related stakeholder.

To be successful you need to have experience in international payment business, operational scheme finance analysis, relationship management, negotiation of commercial agreements and delivering cash scheme incentives. Allocation of forecast projects / features across all regions and brands to build up ongoing forecast pipeline is key to accelerate the business growth across Nexi.

As the ideal candidate for this role, you have the drive to constantly improve scheme governance, relations, commercial agreements and P&L performance and seek to inform and influence where appropriate. Overall, you are responsible for budgeting and forecasting of scheme incentives on Nexi group level.

About your future role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Define and develop MS scheme governance, relations, commercial agreements
  • Consolidate and track scheme activities on holistic view across Nexi for building synergies and scaling in negotiations
  • Support in negotiations with focus on financials
  • Work across Nexi Group and business units
  • Drive continuous improvement across governance, relations, contracts & incentives
  • Ensure early identification of all incentive risks/issues and mitigation plans
  • Partner closely with internal teams as required
