We are looking for a University Law Graduate to join our Financial Lines Underwriting team based in Munich.

Your Team:
Our Underwriting teams work with companies worldwide to create insurance solutions designed for specific industries and business challenges, supporting customers as diverse as the world's largest consumer brands, tech companies and the global aviation and shipping industry, but also floating wind parks, private pilots or Hollywood film actors.
Our Financial Lines team assess financial, legal, compliance, cyber and ESG risks of large corporate companies in order to quantify the pricing and to develop solutions to cover the personal liability of directors & officers via our core product “D&O liability Insurance”.
We assess the risks by using internal and external data providers and develop individual solutions based on our clients needs, considering the changing regulatory and legal landscape.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the underwriting process, both on a national and an international level.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Analyse financial reports, sustainability reports, claims data and policy wordings of (prospective) clients to recommend terms and conditions for the specific client Chase brokers for additional / outstanding underwriting information Model risks using our pricing tools Attend meetings with brokers and clients alongside the underwriting team Handle document management and update systems for the team Liaise with other functions including Operations, Credit Control and Claims Develop and maintain peer relationships with brokers, clients and other Underwriting teams Assist in the development of our local product suite based on market developments and latest regulationWhat You’ll Bring to the Role
A University Degree in Law - preferably a qualified lawyer in Germany (first and/or second state examination in law) with a relevant specialization business law, tax law) or a comparable degree in another country with a focus on German law from Italy, France, UK) Adaptability and Flexibility- Able to adapt and work effectively in different situations and remain calm under pressure Communication- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Teamwork- Have a pro-active and positive attitude to teamwork, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities Learning Mindset/ Ambition- A curious and creative mindset, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm to own and drive your personal development Analytical Thinking- Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study, or examine data in detail, draw appropriate conclusions, and present solutions to others. Duration:This is a permanent opportunity. After extensive training during the first 12 months of our Graduate Programme, you will continue to work within the team and benefit from the lifelong learning opportunities that Allianz Commercial offers.
