Your new role: Senior Learning & Development Manager

Location: Hybrid in Düsseldorf, NRW, Germany

The Senior Learning & Development Manager will play a critical role in driving the learning and development strategy to support the growth and development of our employees. This individual will be responsible for analyzing skill gaps, designing and delivering training programs, and creating career development plans to ensure our teams have the skills and capabilities needed to thrive in their roles and contribute to the company's objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Learning Culture Development:

  • Partner with senior leadership to define and promote a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage employees in learning opportunities and foster a growth mindset across all levels.

 

Skills Analysis and Gap Identification:

  • Conduct comprehensive skills assessments to understand the current capabilities of individual employees and teams across various functions.
  • Perform skills gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and development opportunities aligned with business goals.

 

Training Program Design and Delivery:

  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality training programs and learning experiences to address identified skill gaps and development needs.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and modalities, including instructor-led training, e-learning, workshops, and simulations, to maximize learning effectiveness.

Content Creation and Curation:

  • Create and curate learning content, including e-learning modules, videos, job aids, and other resources, to support employee development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to ensure content relevance, accuracy, and alignment with learning objectives.

 

Career Development Planning:

  • Partner with HR and managers to create individualized career development plans for employees, incorporating feedback from performance evaluations, skills assessments, and career aspirations.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees in identifying career goals, skill development opportunities, and pathways for advancement within the organization.

Program Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programs through feedback mechanisms, surveys, and performance metrics.
  • Continuously assess and refine training content and delivery methods to ensure alignment with evolving business needs and learning best practices.

 

Requirements

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in education, organizational psychology, human resources, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or related fields, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth organization.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training methodologies.
  • Proven ability to conduct skills assessments, analyze data, and develop targeted learning solutions to address performance gaps.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and other training technology platforms.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and drive results in a deadline-driven environment.

Location:

This role will be based at our headquarters in Düsseldorf with occasional travel as needed.
