Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization
The role of the Technology Consultant is responsible for the planning, installing and for the configuration of software solutions and systems. It is capable to support employees with specific applications and provides expert advisory. The role analyzes information systems of adidas and individualizes specific system solutions to meet the demand of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Platform administration
- Manages administration of Jira and Confluence platforms (version upgrades, plugin updates)
- Defines and monitors Jira and Confluence guardrails and best practices.
- Implements and executes maintenance tasks, like data cleanup, plugin verification, etc.
Platform infrastructure support
- Collaborates with the infrastructure team about any application and infrastructure related changes in order to ensure a stable platform.
- Supports and drives evolution of automations in the service.
Service Management coordination
- Manages and coordinates actions needed towards a fast resolution of incidents and service requests between L1/L2 support team and development team."
Business analysis
- Investigates operational needs and problems, and opportunities, contributing to the recommendation of improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes and organization.
- Assists in defining acceptance tests for these recommendations.
Requirements definition and management
- Assists in the definition and management of requirements.
- Uses standard techniques to elicit, specify, and document requirements for simple subject areas with clearly defined boundaries.
- Assists in the creation of a requirements baseline and in investigating and applying authorized requests for changes to base-lined requirements, in line with change management policy.
Application support
- Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues relating to applications.
- Assists with specified maintenance procedures.

Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
- Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient spoken and written command of English
- At least 3-year experience in IT
- 1 year of experience in relevant area
