Plant Operation is a part of Vestas Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installing and servicing a great number of SCADA systems, controlling medium and large sized wind power plants. Our job is to turn a bunch of wind turbines into a power plant, according to contractual and regional requirements.
Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.
As a SCADA Engineer you will be a part of the Grid and Control team responsible for commissioning and maintaining Vestas SCADA solutions and other automated functionalities in our power plants in compliance with Vestas standards and customer requirements. You ensure knowledge transfer and contributes in optimizing and improving our product solutions.
Main tasks:
Configuration and commissioning of Vestas Power Plant Controls Operational support to our wind farms Technical advice to our internal and external stakeholders Customer and 3rd party interaction Interface signal testing SCADA systems upgrades and support for After Sales projects Participation in Site Acceptance Tests and Grid code tests Tackling technical documentation Participate in development and improvements projects to increase product efficiency and improve customer satisfaction.Qualifications
We're looking for someone who wants to use their technical knowledge as a platform to do great work for our clients. A professional level of the following points would be an advantage: Engineering degree, (Preferably in electronics, software engineering, IT, mechatronics) Experience in PLC programming, automation or with SCADA systems Knowledge of industrial electricity and electronics Experience in communication (MODBUS, DNP, OPC) Knowledge and experience of computer networks and their configuration Professional communication skills in English both verbal and written Fluency German is a plusCompetencies

Additional information
The primary work location can be Hamburg or Berlin in Germany or Vienna in Austria.
