Hauptaufgaben

Entwicklung und Realisierung von Elektronenstrahlsystemen für die Halbleiter-Prozesskontrolle Definition der technischen Anforderungen von elektronenoptischen Komponenten Simulation, Modellierung und Performanceanalyse Erprobung von neuen Komponenten und Prototypen im Laborumfeld und Unterstützung der Produkteinführung Enge Zusammenarbeit im multidisziplinären Team Mitarbeit an der kontinuierlichen Verbesserung der Leistungsfähigkeit unserer Produkte

Ihr Profil

Studium der Physik (vorzugsweise mit Promotion) oder vergleichbarer Studienabschluss Kenntnisse im Bereich Elektronenmikroskopie (SEM/TEM) Idealerweise Berufserfahrung im Bereich der Entwicklung von Teilchenstrahlsystemen Kenntnisse im Bereich der (Ultra-)Hochvakuum- und/oder Hochspannungstechnik wünschenswert Interesse an der Lösung experimenteller und theoretischer Problemstellungen Fließende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift Kreative und ergebnisorientierte Arbeitsweise Hohes Maß an Eigeninitiative und Organisationstalent Freude an der Arbeit in einem internationalen und interdisziplinären Team

ICT develops the e-beam columns for Applied’s E-beam Review-, CD- and inspection tools within the IPC Business Unit PDC. 

We offer a position for a physicist in the field of development of next generations E-beam products. 

Key Responsibilities  

Design and realization of electron optical columns for semiconductor process control Definition of technical requirements of electron optical components Simulations, modeling and performance analysis Testing and verification of new components and prototypes in the lab and support of new product introduction Close cooperation in a multidisciplinary team Participation in the continuous performance improvement of our products

Skills and Experience  

Degree in Physics or comparable studies Expertise in fields of electron microscopy (SEM/TEM) Professional experience in the development of particle optical systems would be ideal Expertise in the field of (ultra-)high vacuum and/or high voltage technology preferable Strong interest in problem solving (experimentally and theoretically) Very good knowledge of German and English, spoken and written Creative and results-oriented mode of working High degree of initiative and organizational talent Ability to work in an international and interdisciplinary team
